Leah Shafer is an Assistant Professor in the Media and Society Program at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she teaches courses in media studies, with an emphasis on television, advertising, and new media. Her scholarship focuses on advertising history, online video, spectacle and comedy, and media literacy. She is also a maker of experimental documentaries.
